In 2026, Wi-Fi 7 router has entered the popularization period: BE3600 file can be bought for RMB 400, BE6500 for RMB 500, BE9300 for more than RMB 1200. But after chatting with many customers, I found a common misunderstanding_Everyone bought according to the logic of "the higher the specification, the better". As a result, they spent RMB 1500 to buy BE9300. The actual experience was almost the same as that of BE6500 of RMB 500.
The reason is a domestic constraint:The 6GHz band is not open for civilian use in China.Wi-Fi 7's largest specification bonus (320MHz channel bandwidth) depends on 6GHz, which is not available in China and can only run on 160MHz of 5 GHz. This directly changes the cost-effective structure of the three-level product.
Comparison of measured specifications of the third gear (domestic environment)
| gears | Typical models and prices (September 2026) | chip solution | Number of belts | Domestic performance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BE3600 | Red rice BE3600 (RMB 299), TP-LINK BE3600 (RMB 329) | MediaTek Filogic/Broadcom Introduction | 30-40 platform | Dual-band, 5GHz 160 MHz, full gigabit broadband without pressure; cost-effective choice for two-bedroom within 100 square meters |
| BE6500 | Xiaomi BE6500 Pro (RMB 399), ZTE BE7200 Pro+(RMB 459), TP-LINK 7DR5160 (RMB 499), Huawei BE7 (RMB 599) | Broadcom BCM6766 /Qualcomm IPQ9570 | 50 units | The sweetest gear in China: 2.5G network port, MLO dual-band aggregation, computing power enough to run QoS and IPv6 firewall, 120-180 flat improved residential enough |
| BE9300 | Xiaomi BE7000 (RMB 999), TP-LINK BE9300 (RMB 1299), ASUS RT-BE86U (RMB 1599) | Qualcomm IPQ9574 and other flagship | 80-100 platform | Tri-band includes 6GHz (prohibited in China), 10G optical port, 240MHz;The domestic excess speed basically cannot run outValue mainly in 10G cable and multi-device concurrency |
Broadcom BCM6766 and Qualcomm IPQ9570 compete on chip solution: Broadcom power consumption is slightly lower (long-term startup fever is small), Qualcomm computing power is stronger (Docker running, QoS flow control is more relaxed). Both of these are enough for home use.

MLO is the real value of Wi-Fi 7 in China
320 MHz is not used, so what is left of Wi-Fi 7 compared to Wi-Fi 6?MLO (Multi-Link Operation)- Let the terminal use both 2.4G and 5G frequency bands for transmission at the same time, instead of choosing one out of two.
The actual experience of improvement is not "faster", but "more stable":
- Ambulance handover delay significantly reduced: From the living room to the bedroom, the mobile phone seamlessly schedules between the two bands, playing games and opening video conferences without jamming. This is something that Wi-Fi 6 cannot do (Wi-Fi 6 can only select one band, and cutting the band means disconnecting and reconnecting).
- Improved anti-interference capability2.4G is crowded in office buildings and residential areas. MLO can automatically push traffic to another frequency band when interference occurs in one frequency band without slowing down.
- latency reduction: Measured game latency is 40-50ms lower than Wi-Fi 6 (this improvement comes from aggregation and scheduling, not nominal rate).
But MLO requires terminal support. After 2024 flagship phones (iPhone 16 series, Snapdragon 8 Gen3 and above Android phones) and new laptops (Intel BE200, Qualcomm FastConnect 7800) support, old devices connected to Wi-Fi 7 router is still Wi-Fi 6 or even Wi-Fi 5 mode. Before buying, count how many MLO support terminals in your home-if none, BE3600 is enough.
Three types of scenarios to buy advice
| scene | Recommended Gear | reason |
|---|---|---|
| Two bedrooms/within 100 square meters, broadband 500M-1000M, terminals within 15 sets | BE3600 ($300-$350) | Coverage and tape capacity are enough, saving money is better than adding a Mesh node to solve blind spots |
| Improved residential 120-180 flat, NAS or 2.5G switch, smart home 20 + | BE6500 ($400-$600) | 2.5G network port docking NAS no bottleneck, MLO practical, capacity of 50 units, the highest comprehensive cost performance in China |
| SOHO/small office with 10G intranet requirements, multi-workstation, 4K video collaboration | BE9300 ($1200-$1600) | At this time, the purchase is 10G optical port and multi-device concurrency capability, not wireless rate; pure home users do not need |
| Office more than 500 square meters/multi-floor/60 people + | Don't buy a router, install AC+AP | A single router cannot solve coverage and roaming, see below |
The last one should be said separately:Do not use a home router stack for office scenarios.Home routers do not have the capability of centralized management and roaming coordination. Multiple routers will interfere with each other. When moving, the client "sticks" to the remote AP, resulting in the interruption of video conference. AC+AP solution must be used for those above 500 meters (we have done a transformation of 500 meters with 8 APs, the full-field signal is better than-60dBm, and the roaming switch is less than 50ms). For details, see "The Wi-Fi in a 500-meter office breaks when it comes to the conference room: The whole process of changing 3 home routers to AC+AP."

Three pitfalls reminders for domestic environment
Pit 1: Pay premium for 6GHz and 320MHz.The product page reads "Tri-band BE9300, 320MHz ultra-wide channel", but the domestic 6GHz is not open to civilian use, 320MHz is not used, 240MHz compared to 160MHz rate increase of only about 20%, daily completely invisible. Unless you need more than 80 10G optical ports or tape, otherwise this part of the money is wasted.
Pit 2: Look only at wireless specifications, ignore wired ports. Many people bought BE6500 but only gigabit network port, when connecting NAS or gigabit broadband, wireless is also blocked by wired port no matter how fast.Buy Wi-Fi 7 router in 2026, at least one 2.5G network port, NAS recommendations full 2.5G port (such as GL.iNet Flint 3e BE6500, 5 full 2.5G ports, WireGuard VPN can run to 680Mbps, suitable for users with remote access needs).
Pit 3: Ignore power consumption, heat generation and placement.BE9300 power consumption is about 20W (annual electricity cost is about RMB 50), heat is significantly higher than BE6500, plug in ELV box long-term high temperature will shorten the life and trigger frequency reduction. Placement principle: open position, more than 1 meter above the ground, away from metal and microwave oven, do not plug into the closed ELV box (really want to put, add a small USB fan).
Under what circumstances do you not have to change Wi-Fi 7
- The home terminals are all old Wi-Fi 5/6 devices, and the broadband is within 500M. The existing Wi-Fi 6 router is completely enough, and it cannot be perceived even if it is replaced.
- The size of the apartment is small (less than 80 square meters) and the router is placed in the center of the living room — coverage is not a problem, Wi-Fi 6 performance gap is very small.
- The real pain point is wired (broadband itself is not up to standard, network cable is only five types, operator optical cat dialing performance is insufficient)-solve wired first, wireless upgrade is the last step. Our investigation experience is: In the family "slow network speed" complaint, more than half of the root cause is in the operator package, optical cat or network cable, not in the router.
ACCPC provides network services for families and small and micro enterprises: on-site survey (signal thermal map + wired link test), router/AP selection purchasing, wiring construction, channel optimization, Guangzhou on-site, survey fee from RMB 300 (family)/RMB 500 (enterprise, contract deduction). Also do network equipment wholesale (H3C/Huawei/TP-LINK/Ruijie channel price). Telephone 020-39029800.
